on your paint

Polish, coating and film all treat the same few microns of your car — but not in the same way. Pick one and see where it sits.

Choose a treatment to see it in cross-section

Polish levels the clear coat

Swirls and light scratches sit in the clear coat, not on it. Machine polishing cuts the surface back down past them, then refines it until the panel reflects cleanly again. Nothing is added — the shine is the paint you already own.

What we work with
Meguiar’s 101 foam cut compound, then Meguiar’s Professional Ultimate Polish to refine.

Coating bonds on top

A ceramic coating is a protective layer that defends against scratches, UV rays and environmental contaminants. It cures into a hard, slick skin over the clear coat — which is why water beads and rolls off instead of sheeting across the paint.

Film takes the hit

Paint protection film shields your vehicle from chips, scratches and road debris, all while preserving its original appearance. It is thick enough to absorb what the highway throws at the front end, and it is the layer that gets replaced instead of your paint.

How a paint job runs

Four stages,
in this order

Skipping a stage shows up in the finish. This is the sequence every polish and coating job goes through before the car leaves.

  1. Wash & decontamination

    pH-balanced shampoo, then a clay bar pass to lift bonded contamination the wash leaves behind. Polishing over grit just moves the grit around.

  2. Paint correction

    Cutting compound on the machine to level swirls and scratches out of the clear coat.

  3. Polishing

    Finer polish to refine the corrected surface and bring the gloss back up.

  4. Sealant or ceramic layer

    The protection goes on last, over a surface that is already right — sealant, or one of the graphene and SiO2 coatings.
